We’re definitely a paycheck-to-paycheck family, sometimes barely paycheck-to-paycheck. When our third child was born with a disability, I had to choose between my job and taking care of  him. Our family has struggled to live on just Matt’s income. This just shows that one thing can happen to a family and everything can change completely.
With good public policy, we can give all of our families a chance to cope with the loss of an income.
